T he Indiana Joint National Public Health Week Conference is a collaborative effort of the IU School of Medicine Department of Public Health, Indiana Public Health Training Center with a group of local public health organizations to create awareness of National Public Health Week during the first week of April each year. The American Public Health Association (APHA, www.apha.org ) establishes an annual theme for National Public Health Week, and this theme is the foundation upon which we build our annual joint conference.
The event features local and national speakers in two full days of keynote and breakout sessions, organizational meetings, networking opportunities, an exhibitor trade show and a student poster session. Hundreds of public health professionals from across the state gather to learn, network, and share ideas about the latest developments, research, and news in the public health sector.
Check out this last year’s highlights, and stay tuned for information about next year’s conference!
